The consultancy service we offer at YSG is completely tailor made to the needs of our clients. With our wealth of experience in the marine industry we are able to offer professional management of projects including new builds, repairs and refits. We can offer recommendations on equipment and systems, assistance with finding appropriate local legal representation, consultation on plans, procedures and build or refit schedules. We also have a good network with manufacturers and can offer provision of specialist equipment: ultra sonic thickness measurement on steel and aluminum, moisture measurements on GRP, thermal imaging, etc.
We are available to represent and provide marine consultancy services to owners of new build vessels from conception to completion. Our input may include assistance with build and systems specifications, supervision of work according to the agreed plans, procedures and schedule. We can undertake periodical visits to the build, and provide reports designed to our clients requirements. Our inspections can approve build completion in accordance with the agreed payment schedule.
If you are having major refit undertaken we can assist by monitoring the process at critical stages and ensuring the work is completed to a satisfactory standard providing you with periodical reports. YSG can assist with finding appropriate yards and subcontractors, and offer recommendations on updating of machinery, systems and equipment. We also offer shipyard visits to check progress and quality of works and schedule.
YSG can source specialist equipment and parts for repairs, as well as monitoring conditions for repairs (GRP), providing recommendations for repair techniques in accordance with recognised practice or standards. We also offer consultancy with agreeing payments schedules and schedules of works.
